ureka is designed as an interactive web site between area twelfth-grade English teachers and college English professors at the University of Alabama at Birmingham whose specialties lie in the area of British literature. Specifically, we hope to:

• foster communication
• gain a better understanding of how high school seniors are prepared for college courses and increase their teachers' understanding of what professors will expect from these students
• share resources for class enrichment
• investigate teaching techniques - those that work (and those that didn't!)
